Urban Hideaways

For loss adjusters, insurers and displaced households

Alternative accommodation, handled with care

A household that has just been subject to a flood or a fire does not need a hotel room with a kettle. They need a home: a kitchen, a washing machine, room for the family and somewhere to settle in.

Temporary accommodation

Why insurers book temporary accommodation

The details that decide whether a stay works, rather than the ones that photograph well.

Placed quickly where we can

Tell us the household size, the area and the likely length of the claim, and we will find something suitable. Where we have a suitable home free, a household can often move in quickly. Where we do not, we will look for alternatives through our wider network.

Room to work and room to sit

Living space away from the bedrooms, full broadband and a table people can use, so a household in limbo can carry on living and working, and the children can carry on with school.

Large enough for the whole family

Whole luxury homes rather than a pair of hotel rooms, so a displaced family stays together. We have homes with multiple rooms so everyone gets their own space.

Convenient locations and transport links

We have homes located near towns and cities with great transport links, so our guests can continue to commute to the places they need with ease.

Pets allowed

A family that has just lost its house should not also have to rehome the dog. Many of our homes accept pets, and each listing states the policy.

Book direct

A comfortable place to stay while home is put right

A fully furnished premium home rather than a hotel room, with space for the whole household and everything already in place. Over the length of a claim it is more comfortable than a pair of hotel rooms and usually costs less. It is cheaper when you book direct with us.

They usually do. We can hold dates if an extension looks likely, subject to availability. We just ask for reasonable notice to extend before we open them back up for other guests. If we are unable to reserve dates for your stay, we will do our best to find an alternative.
