Why the same home costs less when you book it with us
Airbnb and Booking.com charge commission on every reservation, taken from us and added to you. To end up with a viable rate we have to publish a higher price there than we would charge ourselves. That premium is not profit. It is the platform fee, and when you book direct it simply is not there.

0% platform commission
A direct booking has no marketplace fee inside it. That is the whole saving, and it goes to you rather than to a booking site.
Up to 10% off from 7 nights
From your seventh night a week of changeover cost disappears from our side, so it comes off your bill too. Applied to the whole stay.
Up to 20% off from 28 nights
A month or more is genuinely cheaper for us to run. Long stays also include a mid-stay clean and a full linen change.
We are not running a sale. We are removing a fee.
A booking platform takes commission from the host and then adds a service fee to the guest. Between the two, a substantial slice of what you pay never reaches the home you are staying in.

About direct booking
How much cheaper is booking direct with Urban Hideaways?
Usually less than the same home, on the same dates, through Airbnb or Booking.com. The exact difference depends on the platform’s fees and the length of stay.
Do I need a discount code?
No, and we will never ask you to hunt for one. Long-stay discounts are calculated automatically at checkout. The price you are shown already includes them.
Is it riskier to book direct than through a platform?
No. You get a written booking confirmation, the cancellation terms for that specific home set out before you pay, secure card payment, and a named contact responsible for the property.
Can I still cancel?
Yes. Cancellation terms vary from home to home, so rather than quote a single policy we show the exact terms for the property you are looking at before you pay, and repeat them in your confirmation.
Do the discounts apply to company and insurer bookings?
Yes. Long-stay discounts apply regardless of who is paying, and we invoice companies, agencies, trusts and insurers directly.
